yesterday, went riding with jason, matt, and chill. rode the park for a bit, learned tyreslides on quarters (oppy, can't do em reggie) then went to the curved wall me and jason discovered the other day. me and chill tried it, kinda got it, but got thrown out by one of the residents before we could pull it properly. went back to the park, rode for a bit but it was getting a bit dewy. stupidly tried a 360 to fakie on a quarter, slipped when i landed, fell on my shoulder. it really hurt. went to hospital. apparently i've torn and stretched my acromioclavicular ligaments. that's the join between the collar bone and the shoulder blade. now i can't ride, drive, or play guitar for 6 weeks. have to wear a sling. and it hurts all the time. mmm pills. it's useless. my right arm can't actually do anthing. i'm one-armed. can't even express myself! left-handed piano maybe...

However wrong I feel about being part of the hundreds, if not thousands of riders that are ripping filmers and editors off by watching their hard work for free, money doesn't grow on trees - Here is Lotek II

BMX in Cairns
Whassup boys? Now in Cairns, the most northerly point of my travels. Did the Great Barrier Reef today. Didn't see any sharks, but it was bloody cool anyway.
Cairns is a purpose built tourist destination, so quite artificial. They know how to make a good skatepark tho, check out this beast of a concrete construction:
Kid going well over vert at mach 10...
Itching to have my bike with me when I saw this place. So well designed with Stoke style skate plaza staff on the perimeter leading to the beach. Don't be tempted by swimming at the beach tho, crocs operate!
Speaking of all things dangerous in Oz look at the size of this spider we discovered on Tom's backpack:
After a rather dodgy effort moving the bag outside the little bugger crawled back under the door and escaped in the house. No one saw where it went so we spent the next few days with paranoia. All part of the fun really. Can't complain when you open the door and look out to this:
Yeh so surfing rocks almost as much as BMX.
When I grow up I want to be as cool as this....
So that's how Oz looks at the moment. I must say I'm impressed with how the Fleet boys are progressing right now. Jason that step set 180 of yours is very manly. Nobin your driveway 360 looks sick. Doing any manual trick on you longneck bike is highly commendable Ben. And Nick, I'm jealous of your pop and learning of turndowns.

Haven't seen this before, lots of southeast stuff, some Farnborough, some Guildford, some HAGGLER.
Mega Tour 5 is also on google video, I watched it last night and was pretty impressed. BMX is still largely an American dream.

Don't you just love WeThePeople .
When I (undoubtedly) give in to wanting a 21" frame again there's a good chance it'll be one of those bad boys.
