The RoadTrip to end all RoadTrips
but first.......

We helped build a new ramp in the Bluedog the other day, its loads bigger than the old one. Its 4 and a half ft pretty much perfect for riding and doing lip tricks (not too small to be pussy but not a monster that eats you). Matt Roe killed it today and broke in the wallride off of it.

Anyhooow,

Nick proposes a roadtrip this summer. We finish uni up here on the 18th of May which gives us a good ol bit of time before the kids break up, so parks will be empty. We have Archeheights until June so it'd be a waste not to use it.

It looks like Rob's going to blaze his driving lessons and should(?) have a car by summer, he and some Kent people want to ride Fbro again. Wills got his car, Neils got a car, Ben and Nobin are getting a car (??).

Some possible skateparks (that I belive are do-able) :
Farnborough ****
Sittingbourne ***
Guildford ***
Woking i havnt been **(?)
Bristol parks ****
Harrow ****
Rom *****
Radcliffe *****
Matlock ***
Bottesford **
Bluedog *** just good cos its pretty much next to archeheights
Stourbridge *****
Epic not been looks good though ****(?)
Stockport ****
Interact *****
Maidstone *****

Stars are all my opinions but should give a rough idea.

Say a week long roadtrip maybe a couple of days over should see some pretty fun times, if we get loads of people on it it'll be even better too!

Yeah if youre interested get talking on this 'ere thing, if no ones interested sod it ill go by myself :p

A few of us went riding in Derby tonight, it was warm I wore a Tshirt.

This banks real small and hard to ride but hella fun to try and get as high as you can out of it. In the air you've got so little bank to land on that you're scared of landing flat with front wheel or hanging on the back, both sending you over the bars.

Will's camera ran out of batteries after this...sorry

Oh my Gash. Spent the day in London with a couple of young Petersens... I'm feggin' knackered now but it was super-fun. We did the Science Museum, Leicester Square, the Natural History Museum, Trafalgar Square, and Buckingham Palace. Fun times were had, there was even some dinosaur groping.

Anyhow, it's dry tomorrow (thurs.) and Friday so if anyone is available and wants to ride, 'holla at yo boi.'

I hate it when I get sucked into Streetphire (or myspaz for that matter) a good 2 hours later and I've read all of Joe Cox's recent posts (Joe Cox = Legend) and all of Josh's (even better when Cookie slags off his posts).

Found this http://www.passionbmx.co.uk/ just some ezine with photos lyke, you may even see a photo of an archeheights tenant in there...

Kids.

Go and check the ride blog (http://www.ridebmxmag.co.uk/blog). They have been putting cool shit up there for a while, but the click the link from Monday's entry for one of the wildest moves I've ever seen. There's "X-games shit" and then there's this. Mirra is the MacDaddy, fair play to the boy.

Reminds me somewhat of freestyle skiing. Bear in mind that none of that is filmed close with a fisheye... he's going ten feet plus off pretty much everything. Oh yeah you might need to download the very latest quicktime to view it, well worth it though.

Neil (opposite?!) table transfer 1/4 to flatwank, with good bar tweak, knees together and vans shoes - can't be beat. This photos wouldve been put on deviant (well the Neil one anyway) but compact digital cameras suck and dusty skateparks and flash dont agree. Posted by Picasa

I swear I don't know how to use this thing properly... The last photo was the harshest flatbank to wall in a park ever - love it!! This is a table of flatbank hip. Posted by Picasa

Fleet's BMX Scene

Yes, haha! Finally found the button that lets you do a post - I'm retarded.

It's raining here in sunny-sunny Derby, Rob and Ze are back home in Kent, Will's and Josh's bikes are in pieces from spraying (incidently Josh's frame is now almost the identical colour to a certain Federal frame circa 2001(?) to 2005) and Ben doesn't emerge from his room until it gets dark (no lie). So being bored I rode the bus depot by myself in the rain for a good hour... for my efforts I got a 4cm shin gash from doing crankflippas.

Anywaaaaay, enough about how shite Derby is, if anyone wants to watch a 2min video clip of some of the street up here reply with your email address and I'll send it.
(Some people've already seen the MixTape)

Bye!

No, this isn't some stupid tyretap bail. Scott Cranmer does his lip tricks just like everything else; with far too many stunts involved. This is a doublewhip to tyretap to ice to fakie. http://www.bmxonline.com for the video. Also has Mirra, Guettler, Aitken, and Harrington shredding. Shame about the bitch hop though.

Holla. (Well who doesn't love Tim Westwood, really?)

Another Ben and Jason Farnborough / trails sesh went down today. No media as nothing incredibly special went down... I managed the double tyre to fakie on the spine though, which was fun.

The trails are coming along pretty nicely, the new line is pretty much finished and is small, but very swoopy. Essentially in addition to the main line 6 pack there is now an 8 pack which involves a straight first, a slightly stepped up hip to the right second, straight into a tight hip to the left third, and then an upramp which sends you into the 3rd landing of the main line, which hips to the right. Despite being small they require a fair amount of concentration... Jason and I both ate it a couple of times, and I have a bit of a splitting headache from a particular incident. Dang.

In the search for the perfect tabletop, here's a Justin Inman effort. Not bad, I give it an 8.5, maybe a 9. Very good knees. Also...

Shit the bed!!! It's in the Cayman islands though... unfortunately. Just look at that thing though!

Thought I'd shove this one up as I haven't put it anywhere else and it's not three bad; Gus at the last Beers for Cheers, X-up on Farnborough's midi, at height.

Oi oi, trails in Fleet. I like the sound o' that. Riding them in March?! Good show boys, good show. Digging jam anyone? Can't wait to get home and stunt. Been riding Stockport's spine a lot recently, hopefully be able to beef some airs over Fboro. Maybe a few 'double dongs' too, if you're lucky!

Bring on 1st of April!

Neil

YES BOSS! Awesome days riding. Farnborough's spine was wicked, soon as i got there it was nice and quiet so i thought spine.....why not, so yer crakced that a number times. Im still not a huge fan of the place like most people but im sure it may grow on me some stage in my life.

Loving the Trails today, they were fun.

Evenin' all...

Had a thoroughly productive six hours' riding with Jason today. Hit Farnborough, Mytchett, and a bit of trails action at the end. Managed to do a few things I'd hoped I'd not forgotten at Farnborough, and messed around with fufanus and stuff at Mytchett. Also did a fakie drop in to the box upramp... might crack that one out on Farnborough spine at some point. As usual, the tailwhip is the new tweak at Farnborough... the standard of riding there has been ridiculous for quite a while, and it continues to increase. Jason jumped Farnborough's spine for the first time, and also rode really well at the trails, getting through cleanly.

A bit of media from the man himself should be up at some point.

Wham!
