Corey Bohan go home!

This is not a backflip or a frontflip. No, it is an extreme nose dive 360. Red Bull Elevation comp. WTF.

Criticism, constructive or otherwise much appreciated (orders even more appreciated)

Some serious moves go down on this one... and although there's some pedalling, seriously, the dirt jumps 'may as well go home.'

hooray, robin now has a beautiful shiny Standard 250s. made of that weird ox tubing stuff... nice. i'm thinking dark metallic red, with probably black forks.. dunno for sure yet. bought it off dunk, freshly sandblasted. looks rad at the moment, the weird metal is all sparkly! i could just laquer it, it does look quite tidy. we shall see. just need to get some new cranks now...

So I'm definitely getting rid of the catapult now....
Our BBQ ended abruptly last night. Launching waterbombs so far that you can't see where they go....until we HEARD how far. Yup smashed another window/greenhouse. Keep it hush hush, it emerges that the house we hit is also the house we suspect to be occupied drug dealers, else young Asian males who happen to drive brand new Land Rovers, a Merc and a Porsche Carrera, and regularly have people outside at 3am.

Cue playing Pro Evo in the dark with all curtains/blinds closed and a prank phonecall from a mate trying to imitate the Po-lise. Suddenly I'm a bit more excited about going home on Friday!

Update on http://www.bikesoc.co.uk. Tom steps up from Exeter's skatepark rail to real street. Fair enough.

One day I'll jump this...

Manchester (do your best Rick Thorne impression) Street Street Street! day.

Awesome day, thanks to Neil's mate Tom that showed us some spots, for me it felt a bit like a day in Barcelona being taken to different street spots, this time could ride though!

Started off on some banks where I was trying 360 hops (can't get the friggarse rollback) so Neil suggested just go for 540's. Lots of stacking later and no 5...I'll have em one day. Neil was doing some abubacas and fufs on the 'sub curb' at the top and some nose manuals maybe??

Next I think we went to this bank to wall with small deck. Haaaarsh. Have to hop a curb first then pull up for the steep bank and try to hop n push back at the top. Took it on that.

Then the flyout that Whitton rides last trick MacNeil. Jeeesus gotta pedal at that. Neil was doing some really nice xup 180s (good knees too) and PERFECT opposite 180s which looked better than regular - go figure. Tom did some nice turndowns out of it, and I tried to peg bash a slippery bank to pillar. Probably took it there too.

Banks along some river doing bank to wallride and a curved wall with a tree right in the middle of leftside rider's run up. I suck at curved walls anyway so I watched Tom and Mikka doing it. Tom took it pretty good on one of the goes - good effort.

Step sets outside the Lowry theatre. I did a oner down the big step set there which scared me a fair bit, but cant argue with first time and a clean as you like pivot (actually a very disgusting pivot, but i wasnt up for taking it on them).

Finish by meeting up with Baito (legend) who was also riding an FBM autopiolet, good choice, and Alex who's french and knows the Twenty guys. Baito generally just said Baito comments that made people laugh, Alex did some awesome vertical smith to 180 on a transition anchor to bars off the ledge and I got a manual up a ledge that got higher and would eat enough tarmac on if your front wheel decided to drop at the top.

Awesome day. Cheers to Neil, Tom and Mikka.

Nick

(video links to follow, if Neils computer stays connected to the wireless. can you believe you have to turn the laptop at 90 degrees to the desk to get any signal)

Neil has to reset his password each time he wants to do an update, which is why he dosnt do them... supposedly.

Rode Stoke icerink today, ice rink? Surely not? Oh ho yes, its ok though as Barcelona was shit slippy so used to it.

Peeeerfect park plenty of ledges, banks and very few transitions - bonus. Streeeeet.

Slippy though.

Got rid of the stinky one (Josh) and rode Platfields which we have some photos of Neil doing his thang over hips (which he does pretty well- the photos might not show this as a) it was getting dark and b) we all know Neils camera is older than all of us combined and takes an hour to 'boot' up) I did some 'tables' which are gay off a sub which was strange but fun.

gay

Street tomorrow wooo! Best discipline of of bmx, spins manuals, bars n hops

02 June, 2006

Pulled: Pegs on Exeter's sub out of the big q (about f-king time) and Bars to fakes on a couple of banks in the park, including the transitioned one. Wahey!

Cool new videos on www.mutinybikes.com and www.michianabmx.com. I'm listening to Lloyd Bank$... he's gangsta, and he's got a funny face...

Todays discovery:

By adding a single cable brake set up, 2 pegs and a hub guard you increase the weight of your steed by 2.25lbs dontcha know. Which, when you think about it, is quite a lot really.

Based on generic brake lever/cable/calipers, pair of shadow lean pegs (lightest steel pegs) and an fbm aluminium hub guard.
