Manchester (do your best Rick Thorne impression) Street Street Street! day.
Awesome day, thanks to Neil's mate Tom that showed us some spots, for me it felt a bit like a day in Barcelona being taken to different street spots, this time could ride though!
Started off on some banks where I was trying 360 hops (can't get the friggarse rollback) so Neil suggested just go for 540's. Lots of stacking later and no 5...I'll have em one day. Neil was doing some abubacas and fufs on the 'sub curb' at the top and some nose manuals maybe??
Next I think we went to this bank to wall with small deck. Haaaarsh. Have to hop a curb first then pull up for the steep bank and try to hop n push back at the top. Took it on that.
Then the flyout that Whitton rides last trick MacNeil. Jeeesus gotta pedal at that. Neil was doing some really nice xup 180s (good knees too) and PERFECT opposite 180s which looked better than regular - go figure. Tom did some nice turndowns out of it, and I tried to peg bash a slippery bank to pillar. Probably took it there too.
Banks along some river doing bank to wallride and a curved wall with a tree right in the middle of leftside rider's run up. I suck at curved walls anyway so I watched Tom and Mikka doing it. Tom took it pretty good on one of the goes - good effort.
Step sets outside the Lowry theatre. I did a oner down the big step set there which scared me a fair bit, but cant argue with first time and a clean as you like pivot (actually a very disgusting pivot, but i wasnt up for taking it on them).
Finish by meeting up with Baito (legend) who was also riding an FBM autopiolet, good choice, and Alex who's french and knows the Twenty guys. Baito generally just said Baito comments that made people laugh, Alex did some awesome vertical smith to 180 on a transition anchor to bars off the ledge and I got a manual up a ledge that got higher and would eat enough tarmac on if your front wheel decided to drop at the top.
Awesome day. Cheers to Neil, Tom and Mikka.
