I actually raced on one of those tracks a while ago, had the top time after the first run. Bumped to about 7th or something after the second.

Nice one tallman! Video makes sense and obviously Kye's well talented on anybike (used to race 4X on Pashleys I think), but why 29" wheels??

Rankin goodness.

29 is a bit of a trend in MTB at the moment. Basically the bigger wheels iron out the small bumps better, which makes sense for general trail and XC riding. Most companies now offer 29" hartails and there are more full-sussers about too.

However, obviously they weigh more, aren't as strong, and are harder to manoeuvre than 26" wheels. I haven't tried a 29er yet but it would probably fit me quite well. I'm not sure I want all the bumps ironed out though!

Rob Warner commenting during a World Cup race: "Someone's emailed in asking why the pro downhillers haven't switched over to 29 inch wheels for the world cups yet. I'll tell you why; it's because they're not fucking gay!"

Bmxers must be wellllll straight then.

My go-to-work bike is 29 and its shit quick. Not sure I'd like to hit anything more technical than XC on it though!

Here's another video about 29ers, a lot of which is filmed on my XC loop that I do around Bath:

The editing on the Charge video is brilliant. Rankin must be well connected to the music scene/listens to a lot of music to find tracks like this
