Ben visits Leeds
Alright guys, no waves in the UK this weekend so had to cancel a surf trip so Ben visited Leeds instead. Along with some monumental lash, a couple of phone numbers and chunder; some riding went down.
Ben rocked out at the park with a bike sounding worse than my singing. Anyone with some spare bottom bracket bearings please send to Ben.Table or invert? Very nice either way. Bees knees.
I'm getting used to my new bike now. Loving big airs on nice ramps.
Rode some street on the way back then headed to a BMX track after a looong 4 mile ride. Need a car next time! Legs were knackered after a few runs...
Moral of the story...Ben needs to ride more!
Cheers
NEIL

Rad weekend, and yes, my BB does sound like a minor war. Get them vids up too Nelly!

you can knock one out the frame and it should have a code on it or take the bearing itself to a bearing supplier and you should be able to get 2 new uns for about 4quid

I'll probably just buy a replacement mid BB, the problem is that the sleeve that sits between the bearings has compressed, so the bearings have no support and have therefore shit themselves. So I'll need a new sleeve too.
Neil, what happened to your 'massive street drop sean burns fuck right off' picture?

this is the one you want if you're running 19mm cranks - R12 2RS

if bb's were designed to take angular contact bearings im pretty sure you can do away with the spacer tube.
that r12 bearing is imperial whilst the axle sizes for cranks is quoted in metric 19mm or 22mm odd.

Nice one. Might see if I can just stick a small spacer alongside the sleeve, if so I'll get them.
