Commonly known in the Fleet circles as 'doing a Neil'.
Reverse recording – I’ve done it, you’ve done it and it’s so annoying. This is when you think you are recording but you are on standby, then you press the button again and now you are recording your feet…. Drives me crazy and you loose the shot you wanted. You have to be alert and pay attention to your display and always double check you are actually recording this.
