They've been doing it for a while, but ride usa have an article up about Standard being able to do custom frames. It's definitely something I'd be keen to do, much like getting a bespoke suit made or something. Everyone's different after all.

What geo would you guys go for?

I'm thinking:

21.7 tt
14" Chainstay
73 degree Headtube (yes, slacker please!)
11.5 BB Height
5mm dropouts
Internal headset, Mid BB
Brake lugs on top of seatstays

Basically trails-oriented and built for a tall person.


Also, how about this for an absurd deal? I would've bought that and combined it with an XXL Deluxe frame if I hadn't just bought an XC bike...

74 head angle!!!

74.5 is 'normal'
although 75 is probably the standard nowadays

ruben and deluxe frames are 74deg

get an fbm custom, screw molinterno, crandal for the win

'Normal' is still far too twitchy for my liking. The Macneil Bibi has a 73.5 head angle.
